History of
Stateline Classics Car Club

(Taken from Durand's Sesquacentennial History Book
"Traveling Through Time" published in 2006)

Great Cars! Great People! And a Great Time! That's what the members of this group have every time
they gather for their annual Fathers Day Car Show. The Stateline Classics Car Club
was established in the Spring of 1996, and every year since its inception, members have been showing off
their special cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Jack Haley, Glenn Matteson, Tom Klapp and Tom and Deb Randall founded the group.
The purpose of the founding members was to get out on the road with their classic cars and share
adventures with others who have the same passion.

The Stateline Classics Car Club assists in the community by donating to special projects and needs.
In addition, proceeds from the Fathers Day Car Show are donated to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
The club holds it's annual show at Lakeside Plaza on Best Road.

The car club began with 13 cars at their first show in 1997, and by 2005 they reached the 100 car milestone.
The are just a group of average people who want to show off their special classic vehicles.

Currently the club holds monthly meetings from September through May, leading up to their big event
Membership is open to anyone interested in preserving the history of classic vehicles.
The programs are both entertaining and educational.

Join the members as they gather every Fathers Day at Lakeside Plaza to display their cars.
